Volkswagen has announced 2 new variants for their popular Taigun SUV for the Indian market. The Taigun is in a segment where it rivals the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor and the likes. The new Taigun GT Plus DSG variant will be available in a new deep black pearl paint scheme. The Taigun GT Plus MT version will be sold in a new Carbon Steel Grey Matte paint scheme. Volkswagen also revealed the Taigun Trail Concept based on the GT MT variant and a Taigun Sport Concept based on the GT Plus DSG trim.
Taigun Trail Concept:
This version is based on the Taigun GT 1.5 TSI EVO pumping 150 PS of power and matched to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Features include a candy white paint option outside, 16″ black painted alloy wheels, Trail graphics on the side body, roof foil, black door garnish, black ORVMs with red accents, puddle lamps, Trail badge at the rear, 3D floor mats, Trail branded leatherette seat covers, SS foot pedals, textured trunk sill accent, chrome for the front & lower grille, load carrying capable roof rails and infinity LED tail lamps.
Taigun Sport Concept:
The Taigun Sport Concept is based on the Tigun GT 1.5 TSI EVO producing 150 PS matched to a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox. Features include a new wild cherry red exterior paint option, Sport graphics on the side & bonnet, body coloured door garnish, 17″ dual tone alloy wheels, black ORVMs with red accents, puddle lamps, TSI badge at the back, Sport theme leatherette seat covers, 3D floor mats, SS ABC pedals, black trunk accents, chrome accent on front & lower grille, functional roof rails, connected LED tail lamp & silver finished front & rear diffuser.
Taigun Black & Matte:
Volkswagen Taigun GT Plus will be available in a Deep Black Pearl shade with the 1.5 TSI EVO engine matched to a 7-speed DSG gearbox. Features include 17″ manila alloy wheels in dual tone, GT branding on the front grille + rear + fender, red front brake calliper, aluminium ABC pedals, leatherette seats with red stitching, decor inserts, red ambient lights, red theme for digital cockpit, 3D chrome step grille, full LED lighting, functional roof rails, trapezoidal chrome wing at the front & rear, etc.
The Taigun Matte edition would be based on the GT Plus trim with a 6-speed manual. Exclusive bits for this version include a new carbon steel grey paint in a matte finish, door handles + mirrors + rear spoiler in gloss black. Everything else similar to the Taigun Black.
