Porsche India adds five new dealerships in one week

Porsche India makes its presence felt. With a strong show in 2022 in the Indian market, the German carmaker is in the headlines again. Last year, Porsche sold a record number of 779 cars and SUVs. This figure is an increase of up to 64 per cent. With Porsche’s India sales reaching an all-time high, the carmaker is now shifting its focus on brand expansion. With this in place, Porsche is rapidly expanding its retail sales network across the country. The initial result of this is the inauguration of five new facilities in one week.

New Porsche Showrooms In Bengaluru, Chennai And More

Thus, new Porsche showrooms have come up in Bengaluru and Chennai. In addition to this, we find newly renovated sites in Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Mumbai. All of these were inaugurated in back-to-back ceremonies and events held during the week of April 10-15, 2023. With this expansion drive the brand’s total number of showrooms has reached eight. This is in addition to the Porsche Studio in Delhi.

Porsche India mentioned that new showrooms aim to take customers on an elevated experience. These showrooms will showcase Porsche’s rich history. In addition to this, the showrooms will also reflect upon the innovations in engineering, performance, safety, connectivity and efficiency.

Porsche India Posted 64 Percent Sales Increase For The Calendar Year 2022

For the calendar year 2022, Porsche India posted its best-ever sales performance. With a 64 per cent increase in sales over the previous year, the results are quite encouraging. Buying sentiments remained pretty strong across its lineup, including SUV and sports cars segments. The highlight was a 69 per cent growth seen in the sales of SUV models.

 Cayenne Facelift Showcased In Shanghai

We saw the heavily updated Cayenne at the ongoing Shanghai Motor Show 2023. Chances are pretty high that the SUV will make its way to the Indian market in future. With that, it will join the Porsche line-up that includes the Taycan, the 718, the Macan, and the 911 range.
