Thanks to an overwhelming customer response on its latest SUV, Taigun, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India has received over 18,000 bookings. The Volkswagen Taigun has been in demand since its launch in India due to its Dynamic and Performance Line variants. The delivery period of the new Taigun has been extended to over two months due to this increased customer demand. This period of delivery for the SUV depends on the date of booking and the variant.
Volkswagen offers the Dynamic Line of the Taigun in 3 distinct variants, namely Comfortline, Highline, and Topline. Sporting 5 colour options- Yellow, Red, Grey, Silver, and White, the Taigun Comfortline manual starts at INR 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Priced at INR 12.79 lakh (ex-showroom) is the Highline manual, whereas the automatic costs INR 14.09 lakh (ex-showroom). The Topline manual starts at INR 14.56 lakh (ex-showroom), with the automatic costing INR 15.90 lakh ex-showroom.
The Taigun’s Performance Line includes two variants, with the GT variant priced at INR 14.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The top-spec GT+ variant of the Taigun’s Performance Line costs INR 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom). As Volkswagen’s first product offering for the mid-size SUV segment, the Taigun’s developed on the MQB-A0-IN platform. The Taigun has been produced and developed as part of the Skoda-Volkswagen group’s India 2.0 project.

Priced at INR 21,999, the service value packages grant customers 3-free services and reassurance for their peace of mind.
The Dynamic Line Taigun’s 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, TSI engine produces 115 PS of power and 178 Nm of torque. The Taigun’s Dynamic Line offers a choice of 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmissions. The 1.5-litre, four-cylinder TSI motor found on the Performance Line produces 150 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque. Volkswagen offers a choice of a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox for the Performance Line.
