Volkswagen India announces a price revision for the Taigun SUV. Along with the price hike, it also adds new features as standard across the model range. With the latest enhancements, Volkswagen aims to offer the best package to its customers.
Volkswagen will now offer the Taigun SUV with Engine Idle Start/Stop as standard across all the variants. The inclusion of the Engine Idle Start/Stop also improves the fuel efficiency of the SUV by up to 6 per cent on the Dynamic Line with 1.0-litre TSI. The new efficiency figures for the Dynamic Line are 19.20 kmpl for the manual variants and 17.23 kmpl for the automatic variants. The fuel efficiency figures are ARAI-Certified. These figures are an increase of 1.1 kmpl in the case of the manual and 0.79 kmpl in the case of the automatic.
The other new feature standard across the range is the Tyre Pressure Deflation Warning System. The system adds another layer of safety and ensures the user gets notified of loss in tyre air pressures.
Furthermore, the Performance Line of the Taigun will see some interior revisions. The company will now offer Wild Cherry Red decor inserts only with the Wild Cherry Red exterior colour. At the same time, the other exterior colours will get the Armur Grey glossy decor inserts.
With the increasing input costs and the new features, the price of the model is also taking a hike. Volkswagen announced a price revision of 2.5 per cent to 4 per cent, depending on the variant. The latest pricing came into effect on 2nd May 2022.
The Volkswagen Taigun’s Dynamic Line now starts at INR 11,39,900 for the Comfortline Manual variant. The other Dynamic Line manual variants, Highline and Topline, now cost INR 13,39,900 and 15,39,900, respectively. The two Dynamic Line automatic variants cost INR 14,79,900 for the Highline and INR 16,89,900 for the Topline. On the other hand, The GT Line with the 1.5-litre TSI now costs INR 15,79,900 for the manual and INR 18,59,900 for the DSG. All the prices mentioned are ex-showroom.
