Earlier this year, Volkswagen had introduced the Taigun Anniversary Edition. Apart from other features, one main difference compared to the other Taigun variants was the fact that the Anniversary Edition was available in the Rising Blue shade. Now, it appears that the carmaker has introduced this colour on other variants of the Taigun as well.
At present, the Volkswagen Taigun is available in the following shades – Carbon Steel Grey, Wild Cherry Red, Curcuma Yellow, Reflex Silver, and Candy White. The new colour will add to its palette and appeal to a wider crowd.
Apart from this, we also believe that the Taigun along with Skoda’s Kushaq and VW’s Virtus will come with electric seat adjustment and footwell illumination. This convenience feature is surely a much needed upgrade as well as a well-deserved feature addition in the brochure. It will help these cars stay competitive in the market.
The Taigun is offered with a choice of two turbo petrol engines – the 1.0-litre and the units. Entry level trims are paired with the smaller engine. This unit develops 113 BHP and 178 Nm. On the other hand, the bigger displacement engine puts out 148 BHP and 250 Nm. In terms of gearbox options, the engines are offered with a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed automatic and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.
With the induction of the India 2.0 project, VW Group has been in the news for good reasons. Both Volkswagen and Skoda reported an overwhelming response to their newly launched products. In fact, Skoda is all set to celebrate 2022 as its best year with the highest sales volume. All of these are possible because of the visible changes under the new identity of India 2.0. The future looks quite promising for both brands as we await more new products in the future.
