At the Annual Brand Conference in Jaipur, Volkswagen revealed a new Virtus GT Plus Sport Concept. The GT variant of the Virtus reverberates the sedan’s even more sporty concept. Volkswagen has not yet revealed when the brand plans to introduce the Virtus GT Plus Sport trim in the Indian market. But, expect the sporty sedan to arrive dealerships soon.
Volkswagen Virtus GT Plus Sport Concept – GT Specific Features
The Virtus GT Plus Sport concept features black aesthetics on the exteriors as well as an all-black theme on the inside. The VW Virtus GT also comes with GT brandings all around the vehicle as well as Red inserts on the interiors. The car also gets a lip spoiler on the tailgate as well as red painted brake callipers. The Volkswagen Virtus GT Plus Sport also comes with a blacked-out roof, blacked-out B and C pillars, dark chrome door handles, and all black alloy wheels. The sedan also features chrome inserts on the black-out grille and a black diffuser as well as skirts.
Volkswagen Virtus GT Plus Sport Concept – Powertrain
The Volkswagen Virtus GT Plus Sport Concept is likely to come with 1.5-litre TSI EVO turbo-petrol engine. The engine does duty on a number of Volkswagen’s range of cars and develops 150 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque. The Virtus GT Plus Sport is likely to come with a 7-speed DSG transmission. The engine is not only powerful but also claims a fuel efficiency of ARAI-certified 19.62 kmpl thanks to the ACT (active cylinder cut-off technology).
Volkswagen at the Annual Brand Conference 2024 also revealed the Taigun GT Line and Taigun GT Plus Sport. In addition to this, Volkswagen also introduced the electric crossover ID.4 for the Indian market. The brand plans to soon launch the ID.4 all-electric crossover in India paving its way towards electrification.
