At Volkswagen’s Annual Brand Conference 2024, the German brand introduced the new Volkswagen Taigun GT Line and GT Line Plus Sport for India. Volkswagen also announced today that the bookings for the Taigun GT Plus Sport are now open and the model will soon be launched in India. In addition to this, the brand also unveiled the Virtus in the GT avatar as well as the Volkswagen ID.4 all electric SUV.
Volkswagen Taigun GT Line & GT Plus Sport – Variants
Volkswagen revealed that the Taigun will now be available in three variants – ‘GT Edge’, ‘Chrome’ and ‘Sport’. Furthermore, the company also unveiled two new variants – Taigun GT Plus Sport and Taigun GT Line. The different trims will help differentiate the Taigun to its customers as it now offers unique design personas. The Taigun also comes with GT Edge variants. The brand reveals that the coveted Edge Collection offers customers both Matte and Black exterior colour options.
Volkswagen Taigun GT Line & GT Plus Sport – Powertrain Details
The VW Taigun GT Line comes with a 1.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine. The engine comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission & 6-speed manual transmission. The Taigun GT Plus Sport variant comes with a 1.5-litre TSI EVO engine featuring a 7-speed DSG & 6-speed manual transmission. The Taigun Chrome Line features both 1.5-litre TSI EVO engine with 7-speed DSG & 6-speed manual transmission. The car also comes with a 1.0-litre TSI engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission & 6-speed manual transmission.
