Volkswagen & Skoda under the India 2.0 project have been putting things in place before their new crop of cars are launched here in our market. Volkswagen has now announced new doorstep car services under ‘Volkswagen Assistance’ to enhance car ownership experience. Under this initiative, the German car manufacturer will provide small repairs at the doorstep, basic servicing and breakdown assistance as well.

To facilitate these services, Volkswagen has created a new fleet of service vehicles which will be dispatched on-call to a particular customer. This will also help retain customers by authorised dealerships for longer. There would be a max cap of 25 km distance from the nearest service centre to avail this doorstep service. Basic tools and spare parts will be carried in these service vehicles along with trained technicians. With this, for the basic car maintenance, a car owner will not need to visit any service workshop. For busy professionals, this service will be very useful.

This new Volkswagen Assistance will be available at 60 dealerships to start with across 45 major cities in India. The brand is confident that with this, they will be able to resolve customer car issues quicker.

From 1st September 2019, Volkswagen has offered 5-year warranty as standard on diesel models of the Polo, Ameo, Vento and Tiguan.
