Volkswagen India sales grow by 60%, good demand for Taigun and Virtus

Volkswagen Passenger Cars India has updated its sales report for September 2022. The company registered a record sales performance for the given period. The German brand has reported a growth of over 60 per cent in September 2022 as compared to the same period last year. The outstanding performance is a result of the growing demand and popularity of VW India’s new product lineup. The Volkswagen Virtus has revived the mid-sized sedan segment. Meanwhile, the Volkswagen Taigun continues to have a stronghold in the SUV segment.

Volkswagen India’s Young New Lineup Of Products

Volkswagen has been a popular brand in the country. Now with the new identity, the sales are also rising. These impressive sales figures are a testament to VW getting it right with the Indian market. Owing to one of the youngest product portfolios comprising the Volkswagen Taigun, Virtus, and Tiguan, VW is now a popular choice amongst the new-gen customers. Despite the supply chain challenges in the industry, VW has still maintained its product offerings and continues to serve its customers to its best. Going by the trend, VW is confident that it will end 2022 as a highly successful year for Volkswagen in India.

Taigun And Virtus In Much Demand

Volkswagen India has already delivered close to 7,000 units of the Virtus since its launch in the country. The Volkswagen Taigun, which is the brand’s most awarded SUV, completed one successful year of being on Indian roads. In the month of September, Volkswagen announced the 1st First Anniversary Edition of the Taigun. This was also to commemorate the overwhelming response to the product both in India and across the world. To add to the enhanced customer experience, Volkswagen currently boasts of a strong and performing network of 152 sales touch points and 120 service facilities. They span a total of 114 cities covering more than 80 per cent of India’s geography.
