Volkswagen India reveals Sarvottam 2.0 initiative, new SUV launches planned

The year of Taigun, as Volkswagen likes to refer to the 2021 year, will be very eventful for the German carmaker. This will be the year when it will launch its first car based on the new MQB-A0-IN platform developed especially for the Indian market. The first car to be underpinned by this platform will be the Volkswagen Taigun which is expected to be launched sometime in March 2021.

To enrich the customer experience and build a good rapport with the new customers, Volkswagen will launch the Sarvottam 2.0 initiative. This is aimed towards reflecting Volkswagen’s philosophy of ‘Accessible, Young and Aspirational’. Volkswagen claims that this will be a unique Volkswagen experience which will make its products, information and services more accessible to the customers.

Under the ‘Accessible Brand’, Volkswagen will revamp its touchpoints to make it more accessible by adopting contemporary and modern digital tools. With the ‘Accessible People’ tag, the carmaker is imparting new behavioural training to make their workforce more customer-oriented. The training will be more focussed towards providing customers with a seamless and hassle-free experience with the use of sophisticated and modern digital tools. The ‘Accessible Products and Services’ value will enable customers to view the videos of their car’s repair and maintenance work in real-time using the service cam facility. The use of a service cost calculator will provide the customers with a transparent insight about the repair costs which will add to their peace of mind.

All these steps will be taken care to provide a seamless and transparent customer experience backed by tech-driven, efficient and user-friendly solutions. The Sarvottam 2.0 initiative is currently in the execution phase and will be implemented across all the Volkswagen customer touchpoints in the coming months. The official launch date for the Taigun is expected to be revealed soon and all the price details and all related information is expected to be declared on the launch event. But, as per multiple reports and rumours, it is expected the Taigun will be priced in the range of the other mid-size SUVs which is around INR 10 lakhs to INR 17 lakhs.
