Volkswagen might not have the latest cars out in the market to rival the increasing and updated competition, but the brand has corporate deals in place to keep the plant running. The German car brand has delivered 100 units of the Polo hatchback to Hilti under Volkswagen’s ‘Corporate Fleet’ initiative.
With a leasing partnership between Hilti & ALD Automotive, Hilti will be offering the Polo hatchback to their employees. Given that car customer requirements are fast changing, Hilti wants to offer safer and premium mobility solutions to its employees with the Volkswagen Polo. The Polo has been in the Indian market since 2009, and is a decade old hatchback running in the same generation. Still, it is regarded one of the best drivers car in the B2 hatchback space where it rivals the likes of Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Honda Jazz, Hyundai Elite i20, etc.
From September 1st of 2019, Volkswagen has announced a standard 5-year warranty on all their diesel car models. From January 1st of 2019, the German brand also announced that all car models get a 4 year / 100,000 km warranty as standard, 4 year free RSA and 3 free services in 1 year up to 15,000 km.
Tata Motors will soon enter this space with their Altroz hatchback which looks quite stunning. Volkswagen still has no immediate plans to launch a new generation of the Polo hatchback in India. Skoda is spearheading the entire group here in our market, and the launch offensive for VW is still some time away.
