Volkswagen doesn’t have new products lined-up which will churn out huge volumes, but the brand surely has a few tricks still left for the Indian market. Volkswagen has now introduced a 1.0L petrol engine powered variant for the Ameo called the Ameo Pace. We’ve already seen this engine on the Polo, and the new Ameo 1.0L Pace has been priced at INR 6.10 lakh (Ex-showroom).
Powering the Ameo Pace is a 999cc, 3-cylinder petrol motor producing 76 HP of power @ 6200 RPM and 95 Nm of torque between 3000 – 4300 RPMmatched to a 5-speed manual gearbox. This engine is BSVI compliant and replaces the old 1.2L motor. The Ameo Pace does not get an automatic gearbox option.
You also have an option of a 110 PS, 1.5L diesel motor available for the Amaze.
The Ameo Pace gets a few extra features such as black ORVM, rear spoiler in carbon-fibre finish, cruise control & alloy wheels over the base Comfortline trim.
