Volkswagen is all set to refresh their variant list for the Virtus sedan in the Indian market. Lately, the addition of the new-generation Hyundai Verna and the Honda City facelift has stirred the sedan segment interest again, and VW wants to grab some eyeballs too. Volkswagen has revealed a new variant GT Plus MT. The Virtus sedan gets a Deep Black Pearl GT Plus DSG trim and a new Lava Blue shade in the GT Plus MT trim.
This sedan will get a new exclusive black paint option along with GT elements such as GT branding on the front grille, rear & fender, red front brake calliper, aluminium ABC pedals, red contrast stitching on seats, leather upholstery, decor inserts, red ambient lights, red theme digital cockpit, spoiler on the boot, 16″ razor design alloy wheels in black, rear seat belt reminder standard, full LED headlamps with LED DRLs, chrome accent on front grille, chrome on the lower grille and LED tail lamps.
This variant will be powered by the 150 PS pumping, 1.5L TSI EVO, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol motor matched to a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox.
Other features include, cylinder deactivation tech, stability control, TPMS, 6 airbags, parking sensors, 25.65 cm touchscreen infotainment, wireless apple car play and android auto, wireless phone charger, automatic climate control, sunroof, multifunction steering wheel, automatic headlamps and more.
Now announced, the Volkswagen Virtus GT line now gets a manual gearbox option. Introduced in a new lava blue shade with leather upholstery inside, this Virtus GT Plus MT is the sedan for enthusiasts. Powering this vehicle would be the same 1.5L TSI petrol motor producing 150 PS of power matched to a 6-speed manual transmission.
Features include a new lava blue metallic colour with the same GT elements mentioned above.
These variants are being launched under the ‘GT Limited Collection’, so expect them to be on sale only for a few months or till stocks last. Prices would be announced by June 2023, shortly followed with deliveries for the same.
