German luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has announced that it will unveil its all-electric Vision EQXX on January 3rd, 2022. The brand will unveil the new EV prototype as a digital world premiere via its ‘Mercedes me’ online platform. According to Mercedes-Benz, the new Vision EQXX is a software-defined research prototype and also its most efficient vehicle to date.
The brand utilized its cross-functional development team to create the Vision EQXX in record time. With this new EV, the company aims to follow and fulfil its “Lead in Electric” and “Lead in Car Software” philosophies. Mercedes-Benz has stated that it will reveal the actual car on its stand at the CES 2022 in Las Vegas.
Mercedes-Benz states that they will screen the digital world premiere of the EQXX for the public across many channels. Individuals such as media representatives can gain access to in-depth material and services via the ‘Mercedes me media’ online platform. The brand has assured that the media event will comprise of transcripts in 6 languages and various press content.
With the new EQXX, Mercedes aims to break through the technological barriers and lift their energy efficiency to newer heights. Mercedes-Benz has ensured to utilize its cutting-edge electric drivetrain and showcase its lightweight engineering for the upcoming EQXX. The prototype will feature sustainable materials throughout and use intelligent efficiency measures with advanced technological software for the future.
In the first week of December 2021, Mercedes-Benz revealed a brand new luxury off-road coupe called the Project Maybach. The brand unveiled it as a tribute to the late American polymath artist, architect, creative director, fashion designer, and philanthropist, Virgil Abloh. Mercedes-Benz displayed the new Project Maybach at the Rubell Museum from December 1st till 2nd for the visitors.
Co-developed from scratch by Abloh and Gorden Wagener, Project Maybach showcases a brand new design language for the coupe. With a combination of function, style, and collaborative creativity, the concept car features a 2-seat layout and Grand Touring proportions. The fully electric prototype coupe also sports large off-road wheels and unique contraptions, which make it stand out amongst others.
