Vida V1 Plus electric scooter priced in India at INR 1.15 lakh

Vida, an electric vehicle brand from Hero MotoCorp, has announced the launch of its much-anticipated product, the V1 Plus electric scooter, in India. The scooter is priced competitively at INR 1.15 lakh, marking a significant milestone in the company’s journey towards sustainable mobility.

The V1 Plus is designed to cater to the growing demand for electric vehicles in the country, offering a blend of style, performance, and eco-friendliness.

Design

The V1 Plus boasts a sleek design which is quite modern. The front apron houses the LED headlamps and DRLs which look futuristic. It also has a small windscreen, which gives it a somewhat sporty look. Unlike other scooters, the V1 plus gets a motorcycle-like handlebar. At the center of the handlebar is a huge 7-inch LED touchscreen display. The display keeps the rider informed of the speed, range, battery SoC etc. The rear too is sporty and features LED taillamps.

V1 Plus Performance

The V1 Plus is powered by a high-capacity lithium-ion battery that ensures a long range on a single charge. The battery capacity is 3.44 kWh and boasts of 143 km of range on the Indian Drive Cycle. The battery gives the motor a power of 6 kW and boasts of a 0-40 kmph speed in just 3.4 sec. The top speed is limited to 80 kmph. The 3.44 kWh is divided among two removable battery packs which can be taken home to charge or simply swapped at an authorised battery swap station.

The scooter is now available for purchase across all Vida Motors dealerships in the country. With the government’s increased focus on promoting electric vehicles, the V1 Plus is expected to receive a warm response from consumers.

Vida Motors has also announced attractive finance options for the V1 Plus, making it even more accessible to consumers. The company is confident that the V1 Plus will set new benchmarks in the electric scooter segment and contribute significantly to the growth of electric mobility in India.
