Valvoline launches new full synthetic engine oil in India

Valvoline Cummins India, a 50-50 joint venture between Valvoline International Inc. U.S.A and Cummins India Ltd, has announced a new range of fully synthetic oils in India. The All Climate Advanced 5W30 and All Climate Premium 10W40 will cater to passenger car owners in India. Alongside, they have also launched a ‘Switch to Synthetic’ campaign.

Advantages of Synthetic Oil

These days, most cars are complex builds, and an ever-increasing environmental concern is pushing car makers to improve efficiency. Modern cars also have an extended drain interval (10,000-15,000 km). This can cause additional stress on the engine oil if mineral oil is used (non-synthetic). Mineral oils are cheaper than synthetic oil but by a factor of up to 1.5 times. Hence synthetic oils are preferred in many new cars. Synthetic oils offer superior protection, guard the engine against wear and tear, and are long-lasting.

One of the ways Valvoline aims to cater to larger car owners is by reducing the cost of synthetic oils. The Valvoline All Climate Advanced 5W30 and Valvoline All Climate Premium 10W40 are fully synthetic engine oils and have been made available to consumers across segments. Even non-enthusiasts or non-premium car owners will now be able to take advantage of synthetic technology without burning a hole in their pockets.

The Valvoline Engine Oils contain premium anti-wear additives, superior antioxidants, and extra detergents. The viscosity index of the oil is also high, which ensures that the oil remains thick at all temperatures, thereby offering protection to the engine against any wear and tear. This new range of oils comes with strong and uniform molecules to offer high thermo-oxidative stability, extended drain interval and hence reduced engine maintenance costs.

Availability of Valvoline Engine Oil

Valvoline All Climate Advanced 5W30 and Valvoline All Climate Premium 10W40 will be available in all suitable packs across all segments. These will complement the existing premium fully synthetic SynPower 5W40.
