Hyosung has introduced a new V-Twin 300cc motorcycle to its portfolio. Currently named ”GV300SA”, Hyosung unveiled this motorcycle at China’s largest trade fair in October 2021. If launched in India, this motorcycle will lock its horn with the Royal Enfield Meteor 350. Hyosung first launched this motorcycle in 2020 for the European market. And we expect some radical changes to the 2022 model. This new motorcycle will join the GV125S Bobber’s family of models. Hyosung might not be in much news in India, but the motorcycle maker is definitely in the news for the international markets with such new launches.
GV300SA gets all the elements that make it look like a cruiser and bobber. And this is pretty much evident from the stance of the motorcycle as well. To further enhance the outlook, the motorcycle gets an all-black treatment that completes the key body panel in a full matte black theme. Other design highlights include rounded side body panels, side casings for the engine, chopped front and rear fenders, round-looking conventional halogen headlamp, a compact fuel tank, turn indicators and tail lamp. The motorcycle’s low ground clearance and wide handlebar give it the look of a cruiser. Meanwhile, the use of larger front wheels gives the impression of a Bobber.
The motorcycle gets a four-stroke, liquid-cooled, V-twin 296cc engine. The performance figure stands at 30.4 PS and 25.6 Nm. The equipped gearbox is a 6-speed unit. Supporting the chassis of the GV300SA is a suspension combination of hydraulic telescopic forks at the front and dual coil springs at the rear. Braking power comes from a single-disc setup both at the front and rear. In the features department, the motorcycle is somewhat lacking. A console is a semi-digital unit that gets an analogue tachometer and a small rectangular LCD panel that reads out speed, fuel level, odometer, trip meter and engine temperature.
