  • Priced at INR 1.35 lakh, it commands a INR 3,600 premium over the outgoing model.

Yamaha Motor India has rolled out the updated 2025 FZ-S Fi, now compliant with OBD-2B emission norms and sporting refreshed color options. The launch marks Yamaha’s commitment to adhering to stricter environmental regulations while offering riders a stylish and reliable motorcycle.

2025 Yamaha FZ-S Fi – what’s new?

The updated FZ-S Fi retains its signature design language, with subtle tweaks to enhance its visual appeal. The front indicators have been relocated to the tank shrouds, giving the bike a cleaner and more streamlined look. Yamaha has introduced two new color schemes—Metallic Grey and Matte Black—complemented by updated graphics that add a fresh touch to the bike’s aesthetics.

Mechanically, the FZ-S Fi remains unchanged. It continues to be powered by a 149cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 12.4 hp at 7,250 rpm and 13.3 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. The engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox, ensuring smooth and reliable performance. Despite the OBD-2B upgrade, the bike’s kerb weight has increased slightly to 137 kg, a trade-off for compliance with stricter emission standards.

Older FZ-S Fi still on sale?

The updated model is priced at INR 1.35 lakh (ex-showroom), which is INR 3,600 higher than the outgoing FZ-S Fi V4 DLX. Interestingly, Yamaha has chosen to keep the previous version on sale, offering buyers the option to save INR 3,600 by opting for the older model. This strategy caters to diverse customer preferences, allowing riders to choose between the latest updates and a more budget-friendly option. This may be only till Yamaha runs out of stock for the older model.

Yamaha’s decision to update the FZ-S Fi reflects its focus on balancing compliance with consumer appeal. The new color options and minor design tweaks aim to attract both existing fans and new customers looking for a stylish yet practical motorcycle.
