Kawasaki Versys 650 – what’s new?

The only change in the 2025 Versys 650 is the new Metallic Matte Graphene Steel Gray color scheme. The bike now features gray bodywork with subtle green accents on the fairing, alloy wheels, and fuel tank. The previous Metallic Flat Spark Black and Metallic Matte Dark Gray options have been discontinued.

Engine and performance

Mechanically, the Versys 650 remains unchanged. It continues to be powered by a 649cc parallel-twin engine, producing 66 bhp and 61 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox featuring a slip and assist clutch for smoother gear shifts.

Kawasaki Versys 650 features and equipment

The Versys 650 retains its semi-faired design, twin LED headlights, and adjustable windscreen for better wind protection. The bike comes equipped with a TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, USB charging port, switchable traction control, and dual-channel ABS.

Suspension and braking

The adventure tourer continues to use USD telescopic front forks with adjustable compression and rebound, while the rear features a preload-adjustable monoshock. Braking duties are handled by dual 300mm front discs and a 220mm rear disc, ensuring strong stopping power.

Market position and rivals

The 2025 Versys 650 competes with the Triumph Tiger Sport 660 and Suzuki V-Strom 800DE. While the Tiger Sport 660 offers a sportier ride, the Versys 650 remains a comfortable and capable touring machine.
