Ultraviolette begins F77 electric motorcycle Test Pilot Program

The commercial launch of the F77 is just around the corner, and today, Ultraviolette kicked off the F77 Test Pilot Experience for the early adopters and fan community of the F77. Under this, selected participants will get to experience the technology and power of the motorcycle. This experience will take place at Aruani Grid, Bengaluru. The event starts today in select batches. Since its unveiling, the F77 has undergone a host of key advancements across various parameters. In fact, this motorcycle is being dubbed as being the most advanced electric motorcycle to hit Indian roads soon.

What Is The Ultraviolette F77?

The Ultraviolette F77 is still in the works, constantly evolving before it makes it onto the roads. As per the information, as of now, the company has claimed that the performance bike will come with a range of 200km under a single charge. F77 is typically a performance motorcycle that Ultraviolette says is comparable to a 300cc petrol-powered motorcycle. It uses a 25kW electric motor that makes 90Nm of torque (at the motor). With this hardware, Ultraviolette claims a 0-60kmph time of 2.9 seconds, which is quite fast. For reference, the Bajaj Dominar 400 also takes a similar time. Thus, we can safely assume the F77 to compete against the 300cc to 400cc motorcycle segment.

The hardware setup that we know so far is as follows. The motorcycle uses a trellis frame and a cast aluminium swingarm. Suspension duties are taken care of by USD forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. Given the performance, F77 features disc brakes at both ends paired with dual-channel ABS. In terms of design, the motorcycle looks quite striking. The F77 boasts sharp bodywork with a mass-forward design and a sporty riding stance. The use of lower-set clip-on handlebars also adds to the sporting personality. As of now, we do not have any price details. But we understand the motorcycle will fall under the price bracket of INR Rs 3.0 lakh and INR 3.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
