Bangalore-based electric motorcycle manufacturer Ultraviolette has announced that it will launch its F77 e-bike in the first half of 2022. In the past week, Ultraviolette revealed that it had received funding from the TVS Motor Company and Zoho Corporation. Customers can pre-book the new Ultraviolette F77, which comes in 3 variants, by visiting the brand’s official website.
With a choice of 3 variants – Airstrike, Shadow, Laser, the F77 e-bike sports 3 Lithium-ion battery packs. Thanks to the 4.2 kWh max capacity, the F77 produces 33.5 PS of power and 90 Nm of torque. Along with 17-inch wheels on both ends, the bike sports inverted front forks and a 12mm rear monoshock spring.
For braking performance, the F77 sports a single 320mm front disc with ABS and a 230 mm rear disc. Additionally, the bike sports a steel trellis, aluminium bulkhead chassis with an air-cooled interior permanent magnet AC motor. Ultraviolet has ensured to pair the 25 kW motor with a single-speed transmission and offers three riding modes.
In Insane mode, the F-77 accelerates from 0-60 kph in 2.9 seconds with a top speed of 140 kmph. Ultraviolette claims that riders can charge the battery packs of the bike within 1.5 hours using fast charging. The bike sports a riding range of 150 Km per charge along with several rider-focused, convenient and technological features.
Recently, Ultraviolette started the next phase of testing for its F77 high-performance electric motorcycle in Karnataka called the #BeyondAsphalt program. With this series of road trips, the company aims to test the limits of the F-77 e-bike in India. In the various geographical landscapes and extreme terrains of Karnataka, the company aims to test the bike’s drivetrain and chassis capabilities. Based on the various quantitative and qualitative parameters of the F-77, the company will test the battery capability.
During the 1st phase of the #BeyondAsphalt road trip, the brand took the bikes on the off-road trails of Chikmagalur, Karnataka. Their YouTube video showcases the F-77 being thoroughly tested on muddy, uneven, lush, and harsh terrains. Thanks to these testing procedures and adventures, the company has planned a complete and fulfilling #BeyondAsphalt testing series. Ultraviolette has promised that it will share the next chapter of its #BeyondAsphalt road trip series in the coming weeks.
