MV Agusta ‘Brutale 1000 RR ML’ unveiled, ‘ONE OF A KIND’

Italian premium motorcycle manufacture, MV Agusta has unveiled the ultra-limited-edition ‘MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR ML’, through the brand’s social media channels. The MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR ML is based on the Brutale 1000 RR and a trim behind the rider’s seat records the individual limited edition number which is, 001/001 meaning that only ‘one’ exclusive example of the motorcycle will be made and though the brand is tight-lipped about the owner the ‘ML’ suffix in the moniker appears to be the initials of the owner.

The MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR ML features naked streetfighter styling and apart from a special paint theme rest of the design elements remain similar to the standard motorcycle such as the LED headlamps, sleek tail with LED taillights, carbon-fibre and thermoplastic bodywork with sharp cuts and crease lines, high mounted exhaust, chiselled fuel tank, clip-on handle-bars with bar-end mirrors etc.

The MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR ML is powered by a 998cc in-line, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 16-radial-valve DOHC engine with electronic fuel injection integrated with eight injectors, four lower fuel injectors by Mikuni + four upper fuel injectors by Magneti Marelli and Motor & Vehicle Integrated Control System (MVICS), full ride by wire throttle bodies and  Eldor EM2.10 electronic control unit with an ion-sensing pencil coil for control of detonation and misfire. The Brutale 1000 RR produces 208 Hp of power and 116.5 Nm of torque matched to a cassette-style, six-speed, constant mesh transmission paired to a back-torque limiting wet multi-plate clutch with a Brembo radial-pump/lever assembly.

The MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR ML features an impressive electronics package that includes Torque control with four maps – Traction control with 8 levels + off and wheelie control with an inertial platform, MV EAS 2.1 (Electronically Assisted Shift Up & Down), Öhlins EC steering damper with electronic manual & automatic adjustment modes, Bosch 9 Plus Anti-lock Braking (ABS) with Race Mode and RLM (Rear wheel Lift-up Mitigation), 5-inch TFT color display,  Bluetooth, GPS – App MVride for navigation mirroring, app-controlled engine, suspension and rider aids setup, Launch Control – FLC (Front lift control) and Immobilizer.

On the mechanical front, the MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR features a Chromium-Molybdenum steel tubular trellis chassis with adjustable for pivot height aluminium swingarm, that rides on 43mm Titanium Nitride treated Öhlins Nix EC hydraulic inverted front forks with electronically controlled compression and rebound damping on the front and an Öhlins EC TTX monoshock on the rear with completely adjustable electronically-controlled Preload, compression and rebound damping.

MV Agusta has commissioned several special edition motorcycles in the past such as the Brutale 910 R Italia for the Italian players and the head coach to commemorate Italy winning the Football World Cup in 2006. The National Head Coach of the team in 2006 was Marcello Lippi.
