TVS Motor Co is fully preparing itself for the Indian motorcycle market. As it stands, TVS’s premium offerings include its flagship Apache RR 310 and the neo-retro Ronin.
There are talks that TVS is bringing in a new 225cc-350cc product. TVS mentioned that there are enough options in the 150cc and 200cc segments. Then we have a long jump for the 350cc segment of motorcycles. TVS is trying its best to fill the void. Thus TVS is trying its best to mitigate this problem and capture the market.
TVS mentioned that they are quite excited about the proceedings. In fact, TVS is also planning to launch a slew of products in the segment. But as of now, TVS has not provided any specific launch timeline. Being a customer-centric organisation, TVS will do it all to grow its portfolio. TVS is also working to attract more customers by virtue of events such as ‘MotoSoul’. Motorsport is getting increasingly popular in the market. This is a great opportunity in India and TVS has lots of plans. With the new launch, TVS will attract more customers to its showrooms.
Last week, TVS organised the second edition of the TVS MotoSoul biking festival in Goa. This two-day event unveiled four one-off custom motorcycles based on the Ronin platform. There have also been talks of a naked Apache RTR 310, based on the faired RR 310. We expect this motorcycle to become one of the first new motorcycles to join TVS’ lineup in this segment. As an attempted part of its premiumisation strategy, TVS is setting up premium bike zones at its existing showrooms, and it aims to have 500 such touchpoints ready across India by mid-April 2023.
