TVS has launched the ‘TVS Sport’ commuter motorcycle in the BS6 avatar at the price starting INR 51,750 ex-showroom, Delhi for the Kick start variant and INR 58,925 ex-showroom, Delhi for the Self Start variant. Both the variants come with 17-inch black finished alloy wheels as standard.
In terms of styling, the TVS Sport features a clear lens halogen headlamp with integrated LED daytime running lights, body-coloured headlight shroud with a small flyscreen, body-coloured front fender, 3D TVS emblem on the tank, new body graphics, a long ergonomically designed seat for comfort, upright handlebars finished in black, black finished engine, silver-finished aluminium grab rail and chrome exhaust covers etc.
In the engine department, the TVS Sport now comes upgraded with a BS6 emission compliant 109.7cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, 4-stroke engine with TVS Eco Thrust Fuel Injection (ETFI) technology that produces 8.3 ps of power and 8.7 Nm of torque matched to a 4-speed constant mesh gearbox with multi-plate wet clutch and claims a top speed of 90 kmph. The TVS Eco Thrust Fuel Injection technology promises to deliver a balance between overall performance and mileage.
For cycle parts, the TVS Sport comes with a single downtube chassis using the engine as a stressed member and rides on oil dampened telescopic fork on the front and 5-step adjustable twin hydraulic shock absorbers mounted on the swing arm on the rear. Stopping power on the TVS Sport comes from a 130mm drum on the front and a 110mm drum on the rear equipped with mechanically expanding brake shoes with sync technology.
The TVS Sport measures 1,950mm in length, 705mm in width, 1,080mm in height and comes with a 1,236mm of wheelbase and 175mm of ground clearance. The kick starter model weighs in at 110 kgs at the kerb and gets a 10-litre capacity fuel tank.
The TVS Sport is available in five colour options – Black and Red, Volcano Red, White Purple, White Red and Mercury Grey.
TVS has also launched the BS6 compliant TVS Scooty Pep Plus series scooters at the starting price of INR 51,754 ex-showroom, Delhi.
