TVS sold 4,02,553 two-wheelers in September 2023

TVS Motor Company has reported strong sales figures for September 2023, demonstrating a 6 per cent growth compared to the same month in the previous year. In September 2023, the company sold 4,02,553 units, compared to 3,79,011 units in September 2022. This increase in sales resulted in a 7 per cent rise in total two-wheeler sales over September 2022, with motorcycle sales up by 10 per cent and scooter sales increasing by 8 per cent. Particularly noteworthy is the TVS iQube electric scooter, which saw a substantial boost in sales, reaching 20,356 units in September 2023, up from 4,923 units in the same month the previous year.

Additionally, TVS Motor Company released its sales figures for the second quarter of FY24, reporting the sale of 10.31 lakh two-wheelers, reflecting a 6 per cent growth compared to the same period in the previous year when it sold 9.77 lakh units. However, the brand’s three-wheeler sales declined to 0.43 lakh units from 0.51 lakh units during the same period in the previous year.

TVS’s Latest Offering Apache RTR 310

In the realm of new product launches, TVS introduced its latest motorcycle, the Apache RTR 310, in September. This bike is essentially the naked version of its fully faired Apache RR 310 and is equipped with the same 312 cc liquid-cooled engine capable of producing 35.1 bhp and 28.7 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox featuring a slipper clutch. The Apache RTR 310 comes with a price range starting from Rs 2.43 lakh and going up to Rs 2.64 lakh (all prices in ex-showroom). In terms of competition, the RTR 310 will contend with rivals such as the new-generation KTM 390 Duke, BMW G 310 R, and the Triumph Speed 400.
