The Scooty has been on sale for 25 years now, and this small scooter has been loved by the masses ever since it was launched in the Indian market. Celebrating this success story, TVS has introduced 2 new colours – Revving Red & Glittering Gold for the Scooty Pep+ model.
The TVS Scooty is a popular product among the female two-wheeler buyers. The reason being this is a light and compact scooter, and suits most of the ladies because of how easy it is to manage it. Also, as a first time buyer, the Scooty does not intimidate you at all. Today, the Scooty is sold in 2 variants – Scooty Pep+ and Scooty Zest 110.
The TVS Scooty Zest 110 was also the first 110cc class two-wheeler which was dirren to Khardung La, the highest motorable road in the world and hence made it to the record books. The Scooty is comfortable and fun to ride as a daily vehicle.
Over these 25 years, TVS Motor Company has managed to sell over 4.5 million units of the Scooty making it the leading budget scooter in India. The 2019 TVS Scooty range now comes with Synchronized Braking Technology (SBT). SBT is nothing but combi-brake technology, making it safer to ride daily with a better stopping power and lesser stopping distance.
The Scooty Pep+ now has a 25th anniversary logo along with new body decals.
The Scooty Pep+ is powered by a 87.8cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, ecothrust engine producing 4.9 PS of power and 5.8 Nm of torque. The Scooty Zest 110 on the other hand is more punchy with a 109.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, CVTI engine producing 7.99 PS of power and 8.4 Nm of torque and sprints from 0-60 kmph in 11.1 seconds.
