TVS Motor Company sold 3,55,033 two-wheelers in October 2021

TVS Motor Company sold over 3,55,033 units for October 2021. The figure for the same period last year stood at 3,94,724 units. TVS mentioned that with the opening up of businesses and speed up in the vaccination drive, the demand would follow a positive trend.

Detailed Sales Report

Two-Wheeler

In this segment, TVS sold a total of 3,41,513 units for the given month, as against 3,82,121 units for October 2020. In the domestic market, the figure stood at 2,58,777 units for October 2021. Meanwhile, for October 2020, the figure stood at 3,01,380 units. Motorcycles contributed 1,72,361 units in October 2021, as against 1,73,263 units in October 2020. Scooters contributed to 1,13,124 units in October 2021, up from 1,27,138 units for the same period last year.

International Business

TVS’s total export figure grew by 3 percent over last year. The figure for October 2021 was 95,191 units, while for October 2020, the figure was 95,250 units. Two-wheelers accounted for the growth of 3 per cent for exports, with sales of 82,736 units for October 2021. The figure for October 2020 stood at 80,741 units.

Three-Wheelers

In this segment, TVS registered a total sales of 13,520 units for October 2021. The same for October 2020 stood at 12,603 units

TVS Scooty is now the first choice of over 5 million customers across the country. The scooter first made its entry into the market way back in 1996, and since then, it has evolved to the current generation model. To celebrate this festive season, TVS has announced an array of festive offers. This provides the customers with special schemes, the latest colours, new refreshes and updated pricing.

TVS recently announced its partnership with Tata Power to set up an electric two-wheeler charging infrastructure in the EV segment. Currently, India is lacking on this front, and initiatives like these go a long way in making significant progress. TVS currently has only one EV on offer for its customer, which is the iQube. But, as the demand rises, we expect TVS to come up with more products and take on the other rivals in this segment.
