TVS launches 2 new colours for Radeon, crosses 3 lakh sales milestones

Chennai-based two-wheeler and three-wheeler manufacturer, TVS Motor Company has launched two new colours of the brand’s popular commuter segment motorcycle the TVS Radeon. The new colours commemorate the motorcycle’s more than 3 lakh sales mark that has been achieved within 2 years of its launch and are timed for the upcoming festive season. 

The brand has also launched the new “Dhaakad” promotional campaign that showcases the TVS Radeon’s Ecothrust Fuel Injection Technology (ET-Fi), its mileage, drivability and the motorcycle’s best-in-class features. The two new exciting colours, part of the Dhaakad series are named Regal Blue and Chrome Purple.

In terms of its design and styling, the TVS Radeon features highlights such as a chrome bezel headlamp with LED daytime running lights, stylish petrol tank with ribbed thigh pads, a car-like instruments cluster, USB charging point and the largest seat in the segment. The Radeon also features a body-coloured headlight shroud, body-coloured fenders, tank graphics, a blacked-out engine with side covers treated in golden paint, chrome exhaust cover, chrome handlebar etc. 

The TVS Radeon is powered by a BS6 emission-compliant 109.7cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, 4-stroke DuraLife engine with Eco-Thrust Fuel Injection (ET-FI) that produces 8.08 bhp of power and 8.7 Nm of torque matched to a 4-speed constant mesh gearbox. The new engine uses low friction components which enable it to be more refined and gives a smoother ride quality. It also claims to have improved the mileage figure by 15%.

The TVS Radeon comes with a single cradle tubular frame that rides on telescopic oil damped shock absorber on the front and a 5 step adjustable hydraulic twin suspension on the rear. The motorcycle comes with 130mm drum brakes on the front and rear equipped   Braking Technology as standard, with the option of a 240mm hydraulically operated disc on the front wheel. 

The TVS Radeon is available in two variants – Base and Commuter of the Year (COTY) special edition. The base variant is available in Royal Purple, Pearl White, Golden Beige, Metal Black, Titanium Grey, Volcano Red and now in the new Regal Blue. The COTY Special edition comes in Chrome Black, Chrome Brown and now in the new Chrome Purple.

TVS Radeon is priced at INR 59, 942 ex-showroom Delhi.
