TVS is well known for its scooters and motorcycles. The company also has a wide range of riding gears on sale. Now the Indian bikemaker has ventured into the helmet intercom sector. To this effect, TVS has launched two new products – the S10X and S20X at the ongoing MotoSoul 2023.
TVS-JBL collaboration for helmet communication devices
TVS has tied up with renowned audio equipment company JBL for its first helmet intercom. The SmartXonnect S10X is priced at INR 8,499 while the S20X will retail at INR 10,999.
In terms of design, both headsets come with a quadrilateral shape and have a built-in flip antenna. The design is non offensive and looks functional. The headsets come with a three button layout. According to TVS, these headsets can be used with any helmet as they come with a clamp system along with adhesive mounts for a secure fitting.
The headset comes with a mesh intercom that can connect up to 20 riders at once. It also gets noise cancellation, dynamic volume control, access to phone calls and music. The device is IP67 rated and comes with location triggered voice notes as well.
These aforementioned features are common to both the S10X and the S20X, however, the latter also comes with OTA updates and a universal connection as extra features.
Both the units are Google Assistant and Siri compatible while the S20X comes with an additional ride grid. This enables you to connect with upto 20 other people across a spread of 1.2 km. This makes it ideal for group rides.
TVS MotoSoul 2023
For the day 1 of the event, TVS focused on the Ronin platform. Ronin is one of the most popular products from the TVS line-up, the bike has already amassed a cult following in such a short while. The bike is known for its modern-retro looks and this is the first bike in India to do so. One of the main talking points was the four custom bikes that were built on the Ronin platform. The company also launched its Flat Track racing format to inculcate the spirit of riding amongst enthusiasts.
