TVS Motor Company has announced the launch of the refreshed Apache RTR 160 4V, now priced at INR 1,39,990 (ex-showroom). This latest iteration of the popular bike comes with several upgrades, including a golden USD suspension, new paint schemes, and advanced features.
The Apache RTR 160 4V continues to be powered by a 159.7 cc, oil-cooled, fuel-injected, 4-valve engine that generates 17.55 PS of power at 9,250 rpm and 14.73 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox, ensuring smooth and responsive performance.
One of the standout upgrades is the 37 mm upside-down (USD) front suspension, which replaces the traditional telescopic forks. This new suspension setup improves handling and ride quality, making the bike more agile and comfortable on various terrains. The suspension is finished in a golden shade, adding to the bike’s sporty look.
The bike also features three riding modes – Sport, Urban, and Rain, allowing riders to customize their riding experience based on the conditions. The dual-channel ABS ensures enhanced safety, while the adjustable brake and clutch levers provide added convenience.
The refreshed Apache boasts a new dual-tone paint scheme, available in Granite Grey, Matte Black, and Pearl White. The bike also features race-inspired graphics and red alloy wheels, giving it a bold and aggressive appearance.
In terms of technology, the bike is equipped with TVS SmartXonnect, a Bluetooth-enabled system that offers turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alerts, and voice assist. The Glide Through Technology (GTT) allows for seamless commuting in heavy traffic by eliminating the need to synchronize the clutch and throttle levers.
The Apache RTR 160 4V continues to compete with other popular bikes in its segment, such as the Bajaj Pulsar N160 and the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V. The launch of the refreshed Apache RTR 160 4V at INR 1,39,990 with the new features does give it an edge against its competition.
