TVS has launched a new variant of the Raider 125. The Super Squad Edition comes in two new liveries. These are inspired by Marvel’s Black Panther and Iron Man. In terms of pricing, the TVS has priced the Raider 125 Super Squad Edition at INR. 98,919, ex-showroom Delhi.
There are two offerings under the Super Squad Edition. The one inspired by Black Panther gets purple and black livery while the one based on the Iron man theme gets a red, black and golden paint job.
Apart from this there are no other changes to the commuter bike. The Raider 125 Super Squad Edition continues with an LED headlamp, sculpted fuel tank and its split seat. Suspension is carried over as well – the front telescopic front forks and the rear monoshock is unchanged.
Coming to the features, the bike gets front disc brake and rear drum brakes. These are mounted on 17-inch alloys with 80/100 and 100/90 front and rear rubber respectively.
The bike gets a digital instrument cluster with easily accessible information like speed, odometer, trip meter, gear indication and fuel level amongst others.
The bike comes with a 134.8cc single cylinder engine. This motor develops 11.2 BHP @ 7,500 rpm and 11.2 Nm @ 6,000 rpm. It is meshed with a 5-speed gearbox.
With the Raider 125, TVS has got its second success story in the 125cc two-wheeler space. Like the NTorq, the Raider 125 has received an overwhelming response from customers. Currently, it has been a growth driver for the company.
Launched on September 16, 2021, the Raider is just 23 months old. In this short stint, the motorcycle has sold 3,16,130 units in the domestic market till end-March 2023. These figures from the last fiscal translate into average monthly sales of 19,948 units. This is a huge figure for a relatively new product, that too in the 125-cc segment.
