TVS Motor has launched a new variant of the Jupiter scooter. The popular scooter now comes with a 125cc variant with SmartXonnect. The price for this new variant is set at INR 96,855 (ex-showroom New Delhi).
TVS’s ‘SmartXonnect’ technology comes with a host of new features. It follows the tagline ‘Zyadya Ka Fayda’ making the TVS Jupiter one of the most beloved scooters throughout the country. TVS had first introduced the Bluetooth connectivity feature on its Jupiter Grande Edition that competed in the 110cc scooter segment. Post that, it now offers the SmartXonnect features across its range of two-wheelers.
What’s new in the TVS Jupiter 125 SmartXonnect?
The new variant gets an exclusive colour option. TVS is offering Elegant Red and Matte Copper Bronze paint options on this scooter. That said, the newly introduced Jupiter retains the same design language as before but gets an extra SmartXonnect sticker at the front.
Another important feature of the new variant is the SmartXonnect suite. Under this, the scooter now comes with a fully digital cluster, phone connectivity and more. Key highlights include call and SMS alert, turn-by-turn navigation and others. For this, users have to paint their smartphone with the scooter via the TVS Connect Mobile application.
TVS Jupiter 125 SmartXonnect : Comfort and Convenience Features
TVS has developed the ergonomics of the Jupiter 125 by focussing on the rider’s comfort and convenience. The scooter is the first to fit two full-face helmets, thanks to the largest under-seat storage capacity of 33 litres. For increased front leg space, the scooter also features the longest seat in the segment. The new Jupiter 125 ensures to carry forward the legacy of exceptional fuel economy offered by previous iterations.
TVS Jupiter 125 SmartXonnect : Powertrain Details
Powering the Jupiter 125 is a single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled 124.8 cc engine. The motor produces 8 PS of peak power at 6500 RPM and 10.5 Nm of peak torque at 4500 RPM. The scooter comes with a semi-digital speedometer with smart alerts, average, and real-time mileage indicators. The riding experience, comfort, and handling are enhanced thanks to body balance technology, front telescopic suspension, and 3-step-adjustable rear Monotube Canister Gas charged shocks.
