TVS is reportedly working on a new cruiser bike. According to leaked patent images, the bike appears to get a conventional styling.
New cruiser motorcycle from TVS : More Details
We can see the front side of the new bike. The cruiser gets a larger engine. This could mean that TVS is working on its largest displacement motor so far.
It is unclear from the images if the engine is a single cylinder unit or a twin-cylinder setup. There is a single large exhaust pipe which is adding to the muscularity of the cruiser bike.
We can also spot upside-down front forks and a large round fuel tank. Overall, the design of the bike is retro, but the components itself are modern.
TVS Motor Company’s plans in the cruiser segment
Currently, Royal Enfield is the market leader in 350cc and bigger bikes. TVS might want to have a piece of this pie as well. The TVS Ronin is another offering of the Hosur-based manufacture, but a new neo-retro offering will be a welcome addition to the TVS fleet.
Depending on the engine displacement, the new TVS cruiser could take on the likes of the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 or the Super Meteor 650.
Upcoming launches from TVS
Apart from this cruiser bike, TVS is working on multiple new launches. Key amongst these are the new electric offerings, a helmet detector system and a street fighter based on the Apache RR310.
In other news, TVS Motor Company has announced its sales report for May 2023. The company posted a sales growth of 9 per cent. The sales figure increased from 3,02,982 units in May 2022 to 3,30,609 units in May 2023. Overall, these numbers are showcasing quite a good trend in terms of not just sales but also the customer confidence in the brand.
