TVS Motor Company posted its sales report for April 2023. It registered a sales growth of 4 per cent as the sales increased from 295,308 units in the month of April 2022 to 306,224 units in April 2023.
Two-Wheeler
As for the total two-wheelers sales, TVS registered a growth of 5 per cent. The sales figure increased from 280,022 units in the month of April 2022 to 294,786 units in April 2023. The domestic two-wheeler registered growth stood at 29 per cent. The sales for this period increased from 180,553 units in April 2022 to 232,956 units in April 2023.
The motorcycle segment registered sales growth of 10 per cent. These sales increased from 139,027 units in April 2022 to 152,365 units in April 2023. The scooter segment too registered a growth of 5 per cent. The sales figure rose from 102,209 units in the month of April 2022 to 107,496 units in April 2023.
Electric Vehicle
iQube is the only EV offering from TVS. It has been receiving an overwhelming response from the customers. With a steady increase in demand, TVS iQube has posted a total sales of 1,00,000 units. TVS iQube Electric sold a total of 6,227 units in April 2023. This is a massive improvement from 1,420 units sold in April 2022.
TVS confirmed that iQube Electric has successfully transitioned to AIS156 phase 2. The production for April 2023 was stagnant due to the AIS156 changeover and supply chain challenges. But TVS Motor is hoping to ramp up the sales figure from the month of May 2023. The two-wheeler maker also confirmed that the order book for TVS iQube continues to remain strong.
International Business
TVS’s total exports stood at 71,663 units in April 2023 an improvement from 113,427 units in April 2022. The two-wheeler exports stood at 61,830 units in April 2023 as against 99,489 units in April 2022.
Three-Wheeler
The three-wheeler for TVS registered a total sales of 11,438 units in April 2023 as against 15,286 units in April 2022.
