TVS iQube Electric Scooter Price Reduced by INR 11,250

As reported yesterday, the revised Fame II subsidy has reduced the price of electric two-wheelers quite significantly. After a new amendment in the subsidy, electric two-wheelers will now get a subsidy of INR 15,000 per kWh, up by 50 per cent from earlier INR 10,000. TVS’s electric two-wheeler offering in the form of the iQube is now cheaper by INR 11,250.

Hence the electric scooter will retail at INR 1 lakh ex-showroom in Delhi and INR 1.10 lakh ex-showroom in Bengaluru. The price in Delhi is lower by an additional INR 10,000 when compared to Bengaluru because the Delhi State Government also provides some other subsidies on top of the Central Government’s Fame II.

TVS iQube Aims Leverage The E-mobility Demand In India

This electric scooter from TVS gets a 4.4 kW electric motor which produces a peak torque of 140 Nm. The equipped 2.25 kWh Lithium-ion battery pack gives the scooter a claimed range of 75 km on a single charge. The top speed of the scooter is set at 78 kmph. There are two riding modes on offer, Economy and Power. The scooter does have a decent performance as well. The 0 to 40 kmph sprint comes within 4.2 seconds, which is decent enough for intra-city trips and errands. After the revised Fame II subsidy, electric two-wheelers have become attractive, and we expect to see them more often out on the roads from now.

Features And Warranty

To make iQube attractive among the sea of other options in the electric two-wheeler segment, TVS has loaded the scooter with a host of the latest features. The scooter gets an LED headlight and tail lamp, Q-Park Assist, a USB charger, and a TFT digital cluster. Connected technology is now an integral part of almost all the latest vehicles, and the iQube is no different. Customers of the iQube get peace of mind of having a 3-year/50,000 km warranty, 1-year roadside assistance, and lifetime SmartXonnect basic features.
