Triumph will soon launch TF450 RS motocross motorcycle

Triumph Motorcycles could be planning to launch the new TF450 RC motorcycle in the international markets. On its official website, Triumph Motorcycles revealed that the TF450 RC will make its international debut on the 3rd October 2024. While Triumph has not revealed much, speculation is that the Triumph TF450 RC is likely to be a 450cc motocross motorcycle. The RC moniker could stand for the Ricky Carmichael who is an American professional motocross and stock car racing driver with several motocross championships under his belt. The RC could also be a limited edition model and the brand is likely to offer the motocross bike in standard editions as well.

Design

The teaser images do not reveal much, however, the TF450 RC is likely to come with a thin profile and a lightweight design, that comes without saying for motocross motorcycles. Also the bike appears to come with a flying front fender as well as a sharp high mount tail. In addition to this, the TF450 RC is also likely to come with twin high mount exhausts. Furthermore, the Triumph TF450 RC also gets a long bench seat which will allow the rider to move around the motorcycle with ease. The fuel tank appears to be a small unit with an upright positioning that allows the seat to be longer and the rider is also able to sit ahead allowing more control and maneuverability. The bike is also likely to come with a straight handle bar with cross braces and a minimalist instruments panel.

Technical Specifications

While technical specifications of the motorcycle are still scarce, the TF450 RC is likely to come with a liquid-cooled single cylinder engine with a short stroke, an over squared engine that will pump out a lot of power and torque. This engine is likely to be coupled to a short ratio gearbox. Mechanical parts are likely to include a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel shod in off-road spec tyres and disc brakes on both ends.

Competition

Upon launch the Triumph TF450 RC is likely to lock horns with the Ducati Desmo450 MX which recently made its debut. However, if the TF450 RC will go for public sale is still a question.
