Triumph has announced a new EMI scheme to facilitate easy acquisition of Triumph motorcycles where the brand pays the first three EMIs if the customer books a Triumph motorcycle in the month of May. The Three Month EMI scheme is valid on select Triumph motorcycle namely the Bonneville Series – Street Twin, T100, T120 and the Speedmaster.
The new scheme has been launched to boost sales as the automobile industry is going through economic instability and to reduce the EMI burden from the prospect buyer for at least the first three months, in these trying times. The brand has the offer limited to the month of May as things are expected to return to normal in the coming months, but the brand may possibly extend the scheme further, depending upon the situation.
Triumph’s modern-classic range includes the Street Twin, T100, Street Scrambler, T120, Bobber Range, Thruxton Range and the Speedmaster. The most affordable Triumph in the modern classic range is the new Street Scrambler priced from INR 8.55 Lakh ex-showroom.
The Triumph Street Scrambler 900 comes with timeless Scrambler styling featuring rounded headlamps, chopped front fenders, conventional telescopic front forks, upright handlebars, classic tear-drop fuel tank with rubberized padding, quilted bench seats, rounded tail lamp unit, spoke-wire wheels shod in dual-sport tyres and blacked-out engine with a side slung high mounted twin-pipe exhaust.
The Street Twin 900 is powered by a 900cc parallel twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 8-valve SOHC engine with 270-degree crank angle and multipoint fuel injection that produces 65 PS of power and 80 Nm of torque matched to a 5-speed gearbox.
With the new EMI scheme the brand expects to gain back sale figures which were virtually zero in the lockdown phase, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Govt. is working on implementing new guidelines as local authorities are likely to permit operations in certain regions and services are also expected to resume soon under new stringent guidelines.
In related news, the brand has also updated its India website with an exhaust note clip of the upcoming Triumph Tiger 900 adventure motorcycle indicating that the brand will be launching the motorcycle soon in the Indian market.
