Porsche 911 Turbo S (992) priced at INR 3.08 Crore, Bookings Open

Porsche has introduced the new 992-series Porsche 911 Turbo S in the Indian market and the brand has now announced the commencement of bookings on the 911 Turbo S (992) using digital sales platform. The Porsche 911 Turbo S is priced at INR 3.08 Crore ex-showroom in the Indian market and can now be booked from the brand’s official website in India. 

The Porsche 911 Turbo S is powered by a 3.8-litre Variable Turbine Geometry (VTG) twin-turbocharged six-cylinder horizontally-opposed engine with piezo injectors that produces 650 PS of power matched to an 8-Speed Porsche Dopplekuplung (PDK) high-performance transmission that is capable of gear changes within milliseconds without disrupting the power flow. The car also features new engine air intakes for efficient charge air cooling via a tailgate grille.

The power is transmitted to the ground via an all-wheel-drive system that features Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus), Porsche Traction Management (PTM) and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). The Porsche 911 Turbo S can sprint from a standstill to 100 kmph in 2.7 seconds with Launch Control and accelerate from 0 to 200 kmph in 8.9 seconds with a claimed top speed of 330 kmph.

In terms of its styling, the Porsche 911 Turbo S features timeless coupe styling with rear-engined four-wheel drive layout and the car measures 4,535mm in length, 1,900mm in width, 1,303mm in height, 2,450mm of the wheelbase. The 911 Turbo S features neo-retro headlamps with LED matrix integration, a sloping bonnet with ridges, flared fenders that integrate the shoulder that runs from the headlamps, active vanes on the front apron for optimum balance between aerodynamics and cooling, classic coupe roofline, LED lightbar on the rear, 3D LED tail lamps, integrated wing spoiler on the rear with air brake function and chrome-tipped dual exhausts. 

On the interiors the 911 Turbo S features a multilayered dashboard with horizontal lines, ascending centre console decoupled from the dashboard, Porsche advanced cockpit operating concept which features driver-oriented controls, new GT sports steering with controls and paddle shifters, centrally-mounted 10.9-inch high-resolution Porsche Communication Management touchscreen infotainment system with in-built navigation, analogue rev-counter and two digital screen for driver’s instrumentation. The cabin also comes with two-tone quilted leather Adaptive Sports Seats Plus with 16-way electric adjustment, quilted leather centre and quilted leather door pads. 

The brand now also offers customisation options online as the brand moves its sales and service platform into the digital realm amidst CoronaVirus / COVID-19 outbreak.
