Triumph starts deliveries of 2023 Street Triple 765 Range in India

Triumph is set to begin delivering the updated Street Triple R and RS naked sport bikes today, following their launch in June at prices of INR 10.17 lakh and INR 11.81 lakh, respectively. However, due to homologation issues, the bikes couldn’t be handed over to customers until now. The prices have seen a modest increase, with the former going up by around INR 1 lakh and the latter by INR 50,000.

What Is The Updated Street Triple?

This updated Street Triple marks the first major motorcycle launch in India since Bajaj took over Triumph’s sales and service operations in April. Triumph is also expanding its network, aiming to have 120 showrooms by the end of the financial year. This is a very significant target for Triumph.

In terms of the new Street Triple’s features, its liquid-cooled 765cc triple-cylinder engine has benefited from Triumph’s experiences in the Moto2 world championship. Enhancements include new pistons, con rods, shorter intake trumpets, a new camshaft, and increased valve lift. As a result, the power output has increased to 120hp for the R and 130hp for the RS. Both models maintain the same torque figure of 80Nm.

Key Changes In The Updated Model

Both bikes have undergone revisions to their chassis, featuring a sharper rake and reduced wheelbase. The RS, designed for track-oriented performance, also has a taller subframe with a 20mm spacer on the monoshock. Notably, the Street Triple R now comes with Continental ContiRoad tires instead of the previously used Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tires. The RS, on the other hand, is equipped with high-grip Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V3 tires. While the R retains its Brembo M4.32 monobloc calipers, the RS has seen an upgrade in its braking system, with Brembo Stylema units replacing the already capable M50s it previously had.
