Triumph is increasing the prices on the latest kid on the block the Speed 400. The brand has announced that the Speed 400’s introductory price of INR 2.23 lakh ex-showroom will end on 31st December 2023. The new price of INR 2.33 lakh ex-showroom will be effective from 1st January 2024.
Also, the old price will only be available to customers with pre-bookings done during the inaugural offer. The brand has also increased the booking amount from the earlier INR 2,000 to now INR 10,000. Customers can book the Triumph Speed 400 from authorised Triumph showrooms as well as online from the official website.
In the near future, the brand is also likely to hike the prices on the Triumph Scrambler 400 X. Currently, the dual-sport motorcycle comes with an ex-showroom price of INR 2.63 lakh.
Triumph is currently scaling up its showrooms in India and aims to reach 80 cities by April 2024. The brand also reveals that since the launch of the Speed 400 in July 2023, the brand’s presence is now in more than 50 Triumph World Showrooms. The brand also has presence in more than 40 cities in India. In addition to this, the brand reveals that it has now more than 20,000 customers.
Powering the Triumph Speed 400 is a TR-series single-cylinder 398cc liquid-cooled motor. The engine produces 40 PS of power and 37.5 Nm of torque. The engine comes with a 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycle rides on 43mm upside down Big Piston forks on the front and gas monoshock on the rear. Stopping power comes from 300mm front and 230mm rear disc brakes with 4-piston radial calliper on the front.
The brand is also likely to introduce a third motorcycle on the Speed 400. According to spy shots, the bike is likely to come with cafe racer styling and the brand could bring back the Thruxton moniker for this machine.
