Triumph Rocket 3 specifications revealed

British motorcycle brand, Triumph has finished with the homologation process of their Triumph Rocket 3 TFC (Triumph Factory Custom) and the brand has revealed the full specifications of the power cruiser. The model was spied testing around the brand’s headquarters in Hinckley, Leicestershire, England.

The Hinckley factory has confirmed that the Rocket 3 TFC will be powered by a 2,458cc, inline 3-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine with a Bore and Stroke of 110.2 mm x 85.9 mm which develops 182 PS of power and 225 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip assist hydraulic clutch. The fuel delivery on the motorcycle is through a ride-by-wire, electronic fuel-injection system. Power to the rear wheels is delivered through a beveled box shaft drive and the bike gets a stainless 3 into 1 header with 3-pipe Arrow branded exhaust system.

For the chassis and suspension, the motorcycle gets a full aluminium frame along with Showa 47mm upside-down cartridge front fork with compression and rebound adjustment which gets 120mm of travel. The rear gets a fully adjustable Showa piggyback reservoir with remote hydraulic preload adjuster and a 107mm of travel.

Braking duties are performed by dual 320mm discs with Brembo M4.30 Stylema 4-piston radial monobloc calipers on the front and single 300mm disc, Brembo M4.32 4-piston monobloc caliper equipped with cornering ABS. It gets 17-inch front and 16-inch rear aluminium alloy wheels shod in 150/80 R17 front and 240/50 R16 rear tyres.

The bike also features twin LED headlights, a single-sided swingarm, carbon bodywork, 2nd Gen colour TFT instruments display, traction control, four riding modes, Triumph Shift Assist (quickshifter), Brembo MCS levers and more.

The bike’s weight has been trimmed down to 290kg, a massive 44.5kg weight saving from its predecessor and the seat height of 773mm with the fuel tank capacity of 19-litres.

The brand is likely to build only 750 examples of the TFC which boasts to have the highest torque of any production motorcycle and the most powerful Triumph to date.
