Triumph reveals Speed Twin Breitling Limited Edition, only 270 copies

Great news for the ones looking to get the Speed Twin. Triumph has partnered with British luxury watch manufacturer Breitling to launch a limited edition of the motorcycle. Just 270 units of these will make it onto the roads, thus making it quite exclusive. The motorcycle will go on sale starting from June 2022. Triumph has put on a sticker price of USD 18,300. As of now, we do not have any updates that Triumph will introduce the Breitling Edition for the Indian market. 2022 marks Triumph’s 120th anniversary. And this is just the first of many such special launches for this year.

What Makes This Limited Edition So Special?

For starters, this Speed Twin limited-edition trim wears a ‘Breitling Edition’ paint shade that gets a two-tone blue/black colour scheme. The hand-painted Breitling and Triumph logo on the fuel tank further add to the overall outlook. Upon close scrutiny, one can identify the similarities with the ‘Top Time Triumph’ Breitling watch that was launched alongside the motorcycle.

The instrument cluster dials get a redesigned style taking inspiration from the watch design. Interested customers can opt for a ribbed black leather seat with grey stitching along with a billet aluminium Breitling’s ‘B’ logo on the engine casing. In terms of hardware, Triumph has upgraded the rear suspension to a higher spec fully adjustable setup from Ohlins. Other than this, there’s not much change in the hardware department.

Mechanical Specification

The 1,200cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin unit continues to do the duty in the Speed Twin. The performance figure stands at 100 HP and 112 Nm. Speed Twin uses a torque-assist clutch with 6 gears. To add to the excitement, Triumph has equipped 3 riding modes, namely Road, Rain and Sport. Braking power from Brembo M50 with switchable ABS as standard fitment. We have already talked about the rear suspension that uses Fully adjustable Öhlins twin shocks with a Piggyback reservoir. The front suspension setup makes use of 43mm USD Marzocchi forks with 120mm of travel.
