Triumph hikes prices of Speed 400 & Scrambler 400x in India

Triumph Motorcycles India has hiked the price on its 400 range – the Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400X in the Indian market. The Triumph Speed 400 was launched with an introductory price tag of INR 2.23 lakh ex–showroom. From 1st January 2024, the introductory offer ended hiking its price to INR 2.33 lakh ex-showroom.

Now, the brand has hiked the prices of both the Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400X in India. The Triumph Speed 400 now comes with a new price of INR 2,34,497 ex-showroom which is approximately INR 1,500 more than before. On the other hand, the Scrambler 400X comes with a new price tag of INR 2,64,496 ex-showroom, which is also around INR 1,500 more than before.

The Price hike is likely to be due to the increasing input costs and inflation. However, the company, neither Bajaj nor Triumph have confirmed as to why the price has been increased. 

Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X – Engine Specifications

Powering the Triumph Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400X is a TR-series. The 398cc single cylinder liquid-cooled motor  produces 40 PS of power and 37.5 Nm of torque. The motor comes with a 6-speed gearbox. The Speed 400 also comes with 43mm upside down Big Piston forks with 140mm wheel travel on the front and a monoshock on the rear with 130mm of wheel travel. On the other hand, the Scrambler 400 X comes with 43mm upside down Big Piston forks with 150mm wheel travel on the front and 150mm of wheel travel on the rear. Both motorcycles also come with 16,000 km/1-year service interval as well.

Recently, Triumph also launched the Tiger 900 GT and Rally Pro in the Indian market. The Triumph Tiger 900 GT comes with a price of INR 13.95 lakh ex–showroom. On the other hand, the Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro comes with a price tag of INR 15.95 lakh ex-showroom. Interested parties can now pre-order the new Tiger 900 series from authorized Triumph dealers, as well as the brand’s online sales channels.
