Triumph Motorcycles India has recently expanded the color options for its flagship roadster, the Speed 1200 RS, by introducing a vibrant new shade called Cosmic Yellow.
The new Cosmic Yellow color adds a fresh dimension to the Speed 1200 RS. Unlike the existing Matt Silver Ice, Carnival Red, and Sapphire Black colors, the Cosmic Yellow is bright, bold, and quite striking to look at. Whether you’re cruising through city streets or carving corners on the highway, this color is sure to turn heads.
While the color may be new, the mechanical specifications of the Speed 1200 RS remain unchanged. Under the sleek bodywork, you’ll find a robust 1160cc liquid-cooled inline-triple engine that produces an impressive 177.5 bhp at 10,750rpm and 125 Nm of torque at 9,000rpm. The powerplant is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
The Speed 1200 RS features a twin-spar aluminum frame, which provides excellent stability and handling. Suspension duties are handled by a fully adjustable 43mm Ohlins USD fork at the front and an Ohlins TTX36 monoshock at the rear. Braking performance is top-notch, thanks to twin 320mm discs with Brembo Stylema calipers up front and a 220mm disc with a Brembo twin-piston caliper at the rear.
As the flagship Triumph roadster, the Speed 1200 RS comes loaded with advanced features. Riders can choose from five customizable ride modes, ensuring optimal performance in various conditions. Additionally, cornering ABS and cornering traction control enhance safety during spirited riding.
The Speed 1200 RS starts at INR 17.95 lakh (ex-showroom), and the Cosmic Yellow color option carries a slightly higher price tag of Rs 18.25 lakh (ex-showroom). In terms of competition, the Speed 1200 RS goes head-to-head with the Ducati Streetfighter V2, which is priced at INR 18.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
