One of the global bicycle manufacturers, Trek Bicycle, has announced the arrival of the 2020 Trek Madone SL 6 Disc which is the brands latest generation aerodynamic racebike from the Madone series. The Madone SL 6 Disc will be retailed in India at the price of INR 3,59,799 and is open for bookings at select authorized retail partners in India.
The Madone SL 6 Disc features a 500 series OCLV Carbon frame which is the brand’s patented carbon fibre process, honed as a result of 25 years of experience in building carbon fibre bicycles. The carbon frame is lightweight as compared to the metallic counterparts and the stiff and strong frame adds to the rider’s advantage.
Another feature on the Madone SL 6 Disc is the IsoSpeed decoupler found on the junction below the rider’s seat and the IsoSpeed decoupler allows the seat tube to rotate independently from the top-tube-to-seat stay junction, in simpler terms, IsoSpeed isolates the rider from the road without any deterioration in steering, handling, cornering and pedalling efficiency.
The bicycle is made with a aerodynamic, wind tunnel developed, KVF tube shape and the KVF (Kammtail Virtual Foil) tube, aerodynamically ranks among the best in the world. It is complemented with the KVF Forks which are aerodynamic fork legs made to reduce drag.
The Madone SL 6 Disc also gets Blendr compatible stem for easy installation of bike computers, lights and other accessories. Other features on the Madone SL 6 Disc are Aero Wheels and hydraulic disc brakes.
Trek currently offers more than 40 bicycle models in the Road, Mountain, and Hybrid segments.
