Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched its Monsoon Magic with Toyota program. The carmaker has announced a comprehensive monsoon with a range of benefits to Toyota customers.
Details of Toyota‘s monsoon check-up
The Japanese carmaker is not just offering a pre-monsoon checkup but also a range of discounts and benefits to ensure a smooth monsoon for its customers. Services include a comprehensive preventive check-up, door step services and more for customers in the Western states for the entire month of July.
Toyota owners will be able to get a 10-point checkup free of cost. Apart from this, they will also get offers on tyre and battery services, free oil filter on maintenance services and a 10% discount on body shop and paint labour charges. Toyota is also offering attractive offers
The campaign is available across all Toyota dealerships in Maharashtra, Goa and Gujarat. This offer is applicable on the entire Toyota range of vehicles like Innova Crysta, Fortuner, Legender, Glanza, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Innova Hycross, Vellfire and the Hilux.
Toyota‘s 2.8L diesel hybrid
Recently, Toyota showcased a new hybrid powertrain. The Japanese carmaker demonstrated a diesel mild hybrid vehicle (MHEV) based on the Hilux platform. Displayed as a proof of concept, the Hilux was offered with a 48V hybrid system along with 2.8-litre diesel engine. There is an integrated starter / generator (ISG) along with a 48V battery. According to the Japanese carmaker, this system will offer a fuel efficiency gain of up to 10 percent. Toyota also says this will be for short trips, and as the distance increases, the percentage gain would reduce.
This will pave the way for hybrid diesel cars which are not offered by any carmaker. Further, in places with less electrification, these could offer an alternative with lower running costs as compared to conventional petrol or diesel cars.
