Toyota is preparing itself to launch its flagship SUV, the Land Cruiser LC300, in India. Furthermore, it seems that the launch as near as the brochure of the India-spec Land Cruiser LC300 has leaked, giving us quite a few details about the SUV.
On the other hand, Toyota’s more luxurious brand, Lexus, is also preparing to launch the Land Cruiser’s luxurious counterpart, the LX600, in India. Lexus has also officially commenced bookings for the LX600. However, there’s no word about the opening of bookings for the Land Cruiser LC300 from Toyota’s end.
Toyota will offer the Land Cruiser LC300 in a total of five exterior colour options in India. These are – Precious Pearl White, Dark Red Mica Metallic, Super White, Dark Blue Mica and Attitude Black. There will also be three interior colour options to choose from – Black, Beige and dual-tone Black and Dark Red. However, we don’t know if customers will be able to opt for interior colour options irrespective of the exterior colour or not.
Unlike the previous Land Cruiser’s V8 diesel, the LC300 will come with a smaller 3.3-litre V6 twin-turbo diesel engine in India. As per the brochure, it makes 227 kW of peak power, which translates to 308 PS. Meanwhile, the torque figure is 700 Nm. Toyota has mated the engine with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The Land Cruiser LC300 will be the flagship model in Toyota India’s lineup. Thus, it will come with a host of features. As for the exteriors, the full-fledged SUV gets a robust-looking design with LED DRLs at the front, squared-off wheel arches and 20-inch alloy wheels on the side and high-grade combination lights at the rear.
On the inside, it gets a digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and plush leather seats. In addition to this, the 5-seater LC300’s rear seat also offers a 40:20:40 split folding for more practicality. Toyota has also equipped the Land Cruiser LC300 with a 14-speaker JBL sound system.
