The best-selling rebadged Maruti Suzuki model is the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. It has contributed to up to 37% of rebranded Maruti sales. Four rebadged Maruti models have contributed to up to 54% of Toyota’s total sales. The Hyryder is one of them, followed by the Glanza, Taisor, and Rumion.
Between April and November 2024, a total of 1,09,352 rebadged models of Toyota were sold, which resulted in a 33% increase over the prior year. Toyota sold 52,262 units of Glanzas and 48,916 units of Hyryder, making up 20% of total sales. The Taisor and Rumion sold 20,208 and 14,267 units over the same time frame, respectively.
It is estimated that 69,419 units in total were sold of Hycross and Innova Crystal, making it the brand’s top-selling model. This resulted in 34% of all wholesale deliveries to the end of November 2024. Fortuner is the fourth best-selling model, with more than 21,000 units of sales.
Hyryder comes in four dual-tone colour options: Sportin Red with Midnight Black, Enticing Silver with Midnight Black, Speedy Blue with Midnight Black and Cafe White with Midnight Black and seven monotone colour options: Enticing Silver, Sportin Red, Cafe White Midnight Black, Cave Black, Speedy Blue and Gaming Grey.
Toyota’s Hyryder includes features like 17-inch dual-tone wheels, a panoramic sunroof, LED projector, DRLs and tail lights. I-Connect linked car technology, a 360-degree camera, heads-up display, auto-dimming IRVM, and chilled front seats are also provided. Further ambient lighting, cruise control, auto headlights, wireless charger, and a 9-inch floating touchscreen with wireless smartphone connectivity all contribute to its comfort.
As a safety features, it comprises six airbags, disc brakes for the back wheels, ABS with EBD, TPMS, rear parking sensors, three-point seat belts for every passenger, and hill assist. This makes the UC Hyryder one of the safer cars in the sement.
