2020 Toyota Urban Cruiser compact-SUV interiors revealed

Toyota Kirloskar Motors opened bookings from the upcoming new compact SUV the Toyota Urban Cruiser on 22nd August 2020 at the price of INR 11,000 through all Toyota dealerships across the country as well as from the brand’s online sales channel. Now, Toyota Kirloskar Motors (TKM) has officially revealed the interior details of the compact SUV, the Toyota Urban Cruiser. The Toyota Urban Cruiser is based on the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and on its exteriors the Urban Cruiser features a silhouette similar to the Vitara Brezza but Toyota is likely to add differentiation factors such as redesigned front bumpers, redesigned radiator grille etc, but other than these subtle changes much of the SUV is likely to remain similar to the Vitara Brezza. 

The brand has revealed that the Urban Cruiser will feature a wide and spacious cabin with dual-tone dark brown interiors that ensures comfort for all its occupants and comes with space, utility and convenience of everyday usage. The compact SUV comes with equipment such as Smart Playcast touchscreen infotainment system integrated with Android Auto and Apple Carplay connectivity along with Smartphone-based Navigation system. The Urban Cruiser also gets comfort and convenience features such as Push Button Engine Start/Stop, Automatic climate control AC, Cruise Control, Auto-dimming Electrochromic rearview mirror (IRVM), control mounted steering wheel, contoured seats with dark brown upholstery and silver trim on the dashboard fascia and door pads. 

The brand also announced earlier that the Urban Cruiser will be powered by a ‘K-Series 1.5 litre four-cylinder Petrol Engine’ with an ISG- Integrated Starter Generator motor coupled to a Lithium-Ion battery that provides torque assist. The engine is also equipped with features such as idle start/stop and regenerative braking. 

The Toyota Urban Cruiser also features double barrel projector headlamps integrated with LED daytime running lights that double up as side turn indicators, split LED combination tail lamps, a high mounted stop lamp. More details on the Urban Cruiser is expected soon.
