Toyota sold 15,338 cars in February 2023

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has revealed the sales numbers for the month of February 2023. The Japanese carmaker posted a total sales of 15,338 units for the given period. Compared to the same month last year, these numbers translate to a growth of 175 percent. Back in February 2022, the company sold 8745 units.

Further, compared to the previous month, i.e. January 2023, the current numbers are a growth of 120 percent. For reference, Toyota sold 12,835 units in January 2023. Toyota is off to a good start in the new year. The combined Jan-Feb numbers of the new year are 175 percent higher than the same period last year. The units stand at 28,173 vs 16,073 in the respective periods.

Growth leaders for Toyota

Top of the sales numbers are dominated by the Urban Cruiser Hyryder and the new Innova Hycross. These have got strong bookings and Toyota is currently fulfilling its order book. The Hilux too has its bookings commenced and is expected to generate some excitement leading to more bookings as well. Additionally, demand for cars like the Glanza, Fortuner and Legender continue to remain strong.

New dealerships for better outreach

With the expansion of the sales network, Toyota aims to delight its customers better than before. TKM recently opened two new dealerships in Surat, Gujarat and Bhiwandi, Maharashtra. These two outlets are expected to service clients from the regions not serviced before.

2022 – A successful Year for Toyota Kirloskar Motor India

The CY2022 was very strong for the Japanese carmaker. The company clocked its highest wholesale numbers since the last 10 years. Given this positive news, the future ahead has a very good outlook not just for the company but also its customers. The demand for cars is good month-over-month and is expected to remain the same. To continue this momentum, Toyota is aiming to launch new models as well as new customer-centric initiatives over the next few years.
